Everyone has a voice. But some voices are quieted by the cruelty in the world. It is left for others to take a stand and make sure those voices are heard just as loudly. That’s where the Youth Labor Committee comes in. We fight to tell the story of those who can’t speak out and to do all in our power to free them from the oppressive grip of those that would keep them silent. United we can make an impact.

The YLC is a student activist group based out of Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville, IL. Started by Economics teacher and activist Bruce Taylor in 2010, the YLC works to fight sweatshops and child labor, as well as to raise awareness in their school and community about human rights.
